The Daily Wildcat is a vibrant, living media lab with students learning and applying new skills while delivering a print newspaper weekly and digital daily product. Together we’ve accomplished much, with national awards each and every year to prove it, and with successful alumni whose careers took off from our launching pad.

KAMP Radio and UATV-3 have recently been moved into a transformed collaborative space with the Daily Wildcat which is proving to be a catalyst for student success in our changing digital and multimedia world. Current and future Wildcat staffers need to not only manage this transformation but to master it.

To do so, they need training, tools, and an enhanced environment that lets them experiment, learn and apply new forms of content creation and delivery so when they graduate they’ll carry the best experience, skills, and smarts that can take them into meaningful careers.

To make this happen, we have established Daily Wildcat Innovation in Media campaign. Thank you to all our donors!!

Thank you to our Innovation in Media Campaign donors, and to all those who have donated in past years to support the Daily Wildcat.

Your generous donations will provide for:

  • Necessary resources to create a modernized, in-house training program for new Wildcat staff. It’s our goal to develop relevant workshops and multi-day, boot camp-style training efforts right here in Tucson. Your contribution will help us cover travel/hotel costs necessary to actually bring some of our experienced alumni working in all walks of media/journalism/business life – back to campus to share their expertise.
  • Continued collaboration between Wildcat and KAMP Student Radio via the purchase of a new on-air audio mixing board and necessary podcast recording tools.
  • Updating of necessary technology, including adding to our stable of Canon DSLR camera bodies and lenses, and related software.
